Science, technology, engineering, and math are very demanding and rewarding fields of study, and math is the backbone of the other three. All phenomena can be modelled through math--in fact, Isaac Newton invented calculus because he needed it for physics!

Math is a core subject, and fundamental to sciences, so being good at it will allow students to excel in all areas of STEM. In addition, STEM-related occupations earn the most, and math strong math skills allow one to enter hard fields like computer science and finance.
